  St Mary's netball club has been a great success this year. Children have come along that have not played netball before and had great fun. They have had great success in their games, with an aggregate score of 95-1 across 6 games. These results are because of all the children that turn up each week to training and encourage one another to become better. Big shout out to Mrs McCabe who has given up her time running training sessions each week, organising games and going to each game. Well done to all of you and good luck with your last few games.

• Progressive steps of the children's enrichment activities. Over 2 terms Year 6 made a diorama of a village/town scene during WW2 to tie into our class project.

  The Governing Body is responsible for the conduct of the school and for promoting high standards and carries out its role by supporting the vision of the school and ensuring that the school works effectively towards achieving the vision. Governors do not need to be experts in the field of education; what is needed is an interest in the welfare of students, together with the time and willingness to be involved. Your skills may be very useful as part of the Academy Committee. Governors need to build relationships with a range of people, to be able to work as part of a team, to be able to question and the ability to make connections between different types of information.
