Children in these year groups will be teacher assessed throughout the year, with assessments being shared with parents. The assessment criteria are:
Assessment Standard | Definition |
Currently working below the expected standard | Unable to access objectives relevant to current year group. Accessing programmes of study further than a year below their current year group (e.g. a child in Year 6 who is working on Year 4 objectives or below). |
Currently working towards the expected standard | Is not yet secure in key objectives from previous year group. Is currently revising previous objectives, alongside some age-related objectives (e.g. a child in Year 6 who is revisiting some Year 5 objectives as well as being introduced to year 6 objectives). There is a chance that they could meet the expected standard by the end of the year. |
Currently working at the expected standard | Working on objectives appropriate for their age and showing appropriate understanding. |
