St Mary's Catholic Primary School
This is our school, let peace dwell here
We are regularly visited by a School Liaison Officer; we therefore ask that you observe the following:
If your child is ill and will not be attending school, we ask that you ring the office by 10am on the first morning of absence. If we do not hear from you by this time, the school will contact you.
The school must be provided with a letter/copy of hospital appointments. If they need to attend dental or other medical facilities, we ask that you put it in writing. Requests for absence during school time are not authorised unless there are extenuating circumstances and a request for a penalty notice will be issued against any unauthorised absence of 10 sessions or more. Any requests should be addressed in a letter form to the Academy Principal. If your child is off for a week or more with an illness, you will be asked for proof. This can be in the form of a doctor's letter or medication prescribed.
