Join Our Governance Committee
The Governing Body is responsible for the conduct of the school and for promoting high standards and carries out its role by supporting the vision of the school and ensuring that the school works effectively towards achieving the vision. Governors do not need to be experts in the field of education; what is needed is an interest in the welfare of students, together with the time and willingness to be involved. Your skills may be very useful as part of the Academy Committee. Governors need to build relationships with a range of people, to be able to work as part of a team, to be able to question and the ability to make connections between different types of information.
If you are interested in applying for the role, please send an email containing a personal statement to michele.blunt@st-marys-whitstable.kcsp.org.uk by Monday 9th May. If we receive more applications than there are vacancies, a secret ballot will be carried out.
