World Space Week
World Space Week: Living in Space
We’re joining the global celebration from 4th–10th October. This year’s theme is Living in Space. Here’s a simple at-home challenge and a big question for families.
10-minute Space-Home Challenge
Pick a world: Moon, Mars or another planet (make sure you do your research before choosing).
Sketch or build a tiny model from recycling or LEGO.
Solve the four main problems of living on a new planet: air, water, power, waste. Add one idea for exercise.
Label your best feature. Take a photo and share with your teacher on Class Dojo.
Big family question
If your family had to live in space for one year, what five items or systems would be absolutely essential, and why? Think about protection from radiation, temperature, food, sleep, and staying in touch with home.
We’ll be celebrate great ideas in class.
