WHOLE SCHOOL RE

Monday 1st June.

This Sunday’s Gospel is when Jesus tells Nicodemus that he has come to save the world.

 (John 3:16-18)

Share the Gospel with your family this week. For interim online editions please visit: www.wednesdayword.org and simply click “Schools please click here for the Primary School version”

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Herne Bay is offering homilies on the weekly Gospels, just follow the link:

https://www.ourladyhernebay.co.uk/virtual

A virtual children’s liturgy is also available at 9:30am every Sunday morning.

Just follow the link above, click on the Facebook page and leave a message requesting the login details.

In our Wednesday Word we learn that Jesus is referring to the Holy Trinity (God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit). St Patrick illustrated the unity using a shamrock.

Challenge: Can you create a piece of art to show the Holy Trinity or colour the template of the shamrock.

Happy Pentecost! To celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church.

Pope Francis has taken part in an online Church service alongside the Archbishop of Canterbury and a number of other UK Church leaders. Also includes Matt Redman and the hymn 10,000 reasons which our students know.

May is the month of Our Lady, Mary

Here are three things you can do to honour and celebrate Mary:

1.   Say a Hail Mary everyday (Mrs Martin is ready to say it with you). Video below.

2.   Say a decade of the Holy Rosary with your family. Next week (11.5.20) we are going to ask the whole school to say a daily Rosary for Peace - resources will be provided.

3.   Start to prepare for our Crowning of Mary Service on Monday 1st June. If you are lucky enough to be at school, we will do it together. If you are at home you will need a statue or picture of Our Lady (you can make it yourself) and a crown. More details nearer the time.

Hail Mary
