Living out God's Mission

Ukraine Appeal

Since war broke out, St Mary's families have been donating supplies to go out to Ukraine.

'Dear Mrs Blunt,

A huge thank you to EVERYONE, we are absolutely overwhelmed with a number of donations.

I have dropped all of the bags to Christ Church University today (please see attached) and they will be leaving for Ukraine tomorrow at 1pm. They undoubtedly will really help lots of people in need.'

Red Nose Day – March 2022 On Reed Nose Day, we held a whole school Dance-athon at St Mary’s. We raised an amazing £878!

CAFOD World Gifts

This Christmas, we raised money to purchase some of the CAFOD World Gifts to help people in other countries.  With the money that we raised we were able to buy:

Poppy Appeal 2021 Thank you so much to all of our families who donated to the Poppy Appeal this year. We raised a massive £516.17!

Harvest 2021 Thank you once again to all of our wonderful families for donating so much food to the SVP food bank. We are always so overwhelmed by the kindness and generocity.

MAD HAIR DAY 2021

On Friday 14th May, we had Mad Hair Day at St Mary’s to raise money for Breast Cancer. Our very own Mrs Thorogood was doing a Virtual Moon Walk on Saturday 15th May, so we brought in donations to support her in exchange for having crazy hair for the day.  We raised £461.50 for the charity. Here are some photographs of our fantastic hairdos.

CHILDREN IN NEED

In November, for Children in Need, we asked families to bring in a food item for the SVP food bank.  We had an amazing response!

Two of our children asked if we could work as a school to raise money for a charity which meant a lot to them as a family – the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity.  In December, all of the children dressed up in pink or blue on this day.  We raised an amazing amount of money for this very worthwhile charity.

PINK & BLUE DAY

We would like to thank all of our families who kindly donated to ‘SANDS’ on our Pink and Blue Day last Friday.  We raised an amazing £606!
