Charitable Giving

Harvest 2021 Thank you once again to all of our wonderful families for donating so much food to the SVP food bank. We are always so overwhelmed by the kindness and generocity.

Mad Hair Day – May 2021 - On Friday 14th May, we had Mad Hair Day at St Mary’s to raise money for Breast Cancer. Our very own Mrs Thorogood was doing a Virtual Moon Walk on Saturday 15th May, so we brought in donations to support her in exchange for having crazy hair for the day.  We raised £461.50 for the charity. Here are some photographs of our fantastic hairdos.

In December 2020 we set up a 'Giving Tree' and our children and parents donated presents for children of families in need in our community.

In October 2020 we had our Harvest Festival.  Families brought in food items for the food bank which were shared among our local community.  We received a lovely letter of thanks from the SVP:

In November 2020 we raised money for the Poppy Appeal:

Also in November, for Children in Need, we asked families to bring in a food item for the SVP food bank.  We had an amazing response!

Two of our children asked if we could work as a school to raise money for a charity which meant a lot to them as a family – the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity.  In December, all of the children dressed up in pink or blue on this day.  We raised an amazing amount of money for this very worthwhile charity.

Pink and Blue Day

We would like to thank all of our families who kindly donated to ‘SANDS’ on our Pink and Blue Day last Friday.  We raised an amazing £606!
