Visual Timetable/Now Next Boards

Hello everyone,

Many children benefit from daily routines or knowing in advance what is going to happen.

I have created some now/next boards and visual timetable symbols for families to cut up and use.

I've put loads of activities on there, but families can of course use as much or as little as they wish/need.

If there are any particular symbols you need, please let me know.

I hope you find these documents useful.

Take care

Mrs Clark

I received a lovely letter today and I wanted to share it with you all.

We are very aware of the profound impact that COVID-19 is having on everyone’s professional and personal lives. For many, their home has become their workplace and their school and we are all having to work out new ways of organising our lives and relating to one another.

At Family Links – the Centre for Emotional Health we are continuing to work remotely and are happy to help in any way we can. We know that the pressures on families are greater than ever and we are offering a 30% discount on parenting resources in the shop until the end of June; all orders are continuing to be processed and sent out.  Our Parent Zone has a number of free resources that may be useful for practitioners and parents, as well as a link to our free online parenting course, hosted by Netmums. We also offer an online course on Mental and Emotional Health in Schools which may be useful for staff working in education.

We will be doing regular vlogs/blogs and posts on our social media and YouTube channel so do follow us and check out the News Hub on the website. Do let us know if there are topics that you think would be particularly useful for you.

All the members of our team can be contacted via e-mail and on our usual telephone numbers, please let us know if there other ways in which we can support you and the families you work with.

Our relationships at work are more important than ever at the moment; at Family Links we continue to have a virtual coffee break together for 10 minutes for a non-work related catch up, as well as our daily team meetings. There are many adjustments we’re all having to make and as we know change is often challenging, especially when it is on this scale. I hope you are all finding ways to stay connected and support one another’s emotional, as well as physical health.

With very best wishes to you and your families.
